It consisted of a TV movie and 26 episodes over two seasons.

Claudia Black appeared as Jill Mayhew in the second season episode "Naughty Bits." This episode was first aired on the 28 April 1998 in Australia and is episode number 18 (season two episode five).

Detailed synopsis: Maginnis and Reuben are out on the town. Maginnis is gob-smacked when the drop dead gorgeous Jill Mayhew glides towards Reuben. He continues to look on in bewilderment as Jill and Reuben dance the night away wrapped in each others' arms. When Suzie the barkeeper, and young drag queen informs Maginnis that 'Jill' is actually 'Jack', Maginnis is flabbergasted. He watches helplessly as Reuben and Jill speed off into the night.
Next day at the dry cleaners, Maginnis is still confused and Stella amused at his confusion. She points out his pettiness. Is he jealous because Jill didn't go for him? When Reuben arrives for work, Maginnis is floored to learn that he actually slept with Jill and everything was 'normal'.
That evening at the nightclub Reuben and Jill once again snuggle up on the dance floor as Maginnis hangs around having a beer. As his eyes glide around the room, he notices a thuggish looking figure, Petersen, taking an unusual interest in Jill. When Reuben and Jill make their way to the exit, Petersen tails them and Maginnis follows.
Outside, Petersen lunges towards Jill yelling -"I know who you are." Reuben is knocked unconscious and as Maginnis steps in, Petersen pulls a gun. Maginnis disarms him and is flabbergasted when Jill picks up the gun, cocks it and shoots Petersen dead.
Reuben is rushed to hospital and when Jill does a runner, Maginnis eventually discovers that Petersen was involved in a payroll robbery from which the money has never been found. A guard was killed and Petersen's accomplice was an attractive woman. Maginnis is flummoxed. Could it have been Jill?
Maginnis discovers Jill has just arrived back in the country, was definitely away at the time of the robbery and there's no evidence of any criminal record. So what is her connection to Petersen?
Meanwhile Jill has found her way to the local television station. What is she doing there?
Maginnis discovers Jill has a brother, Rae, who departed a couple of days after the robbery and has not since re-entered the country. Maginnis also learns that Rae once worked at the local television studio. Maginnis tracks Jill and the money back to the television station and she recounts her story to Maginnis. She assumed her sister's identity when she was killed in a car accident overseas. Maginnis allows her to take the money and run. Jill has once again slipped into thin air.
With Reuben out of hospital and suffering a memory loss he has no recollection of Jill. Keen to jump back on the horse, he suggests that they go back to the nightclub and try their luck again. As Maginnis sits at the bar, he is introduced to a stunning looking woman whose name is Bobbi. Maginnis turns to ice.
