The Farscape and Pitch Black actress answers our ten questions.
To sci-fi fans, Claudia Black is instantly recognizable as the renegade peacekeeper Aeryn Sun of The Sci-Fi Channel's hit Farscape –which ends its current season at the end of this month and starts a new season in June.
To us, she's a talented actress –most recently seen on the big screen in Pitch Black and Queen Of The Damned.
She was also gracious enough to answer our more science than fiction 10 Questions...
1. What is your favorite piece of music?
"My Friend" by Groove Armada got me through the summer but I love music and movies too much to have just one favorite song/movie.
2. What is your favorite film?
E.T., Pulp Fiction, Matrix, Blade Runner, Life of Brian, to name a few.
3. What is your favorite TV program, past or current?
I don't have time to watch anything these days.... but I used to love Dr. Who, Fawlty Towers, Kenny Everett, 21 Jump Street, The Practice, West Wing...
4. What do you feel has been your most important professional accomplishment to date?
Staying away from the Arnotts' Chicken Crimpy flavor crackers on set for two and a half years.
5. Which project do you feel didn't live up to what you envisioned?
Well I recall I spoke whole lines of dialogue in Queen Of The Damned. I had sentences... where did they go?
6. What is your favorite book?
My answer to this has not changed for 20 years... To Kill a Mockingbird –I think it teaches one of the most important lessons; that you never really understand someone until you 'walk around in their moccasins' for a while.
7. If you could change one thing about Hollywood, what would it be?
That I'm not there yet...
8. If you could change one public perception of yourself, what would it be?
I have no idea how the public perceives me.
9. What is your next project?
Tidying my room.
10. What is the one project that you've always wanted to do, but have yet to be able to?
Tidy my room.
