"It began in the future, a scientist turning to evil, a time machine called TRAX, criminals who vanish, and a lawman with a mission.
He has one weapon, and a computer named SELMA. With him, he will travel to a time more innocent than his own.
Now he is among us, a special breed of man, a hunter, traveling through our world, searching for fugitives from his own, knowing he can not go home until he has found them all.
His name is Darien Lambert, and this is his story."
The series follows the exploits of Captain Darien Lambert played by Dale Midkiff, a police officer from the year 2193. Darien Lambert travels back in time to 20th century 1993, in search of criminals who have used a new time travel technology TRAX (Trans-time Research And eXperimentation) to escape justice by hiding in the past. With the aid of SELMA (Specified Encapsulated Limitless Memory Archive) a credit card sized computer which can project an holographic image played by Elizabeth Alexander and a pulse weapon disguised as a car alarm, the lawman from the future has to track down his quarry while trying to adjust to his 20th century surroundings.
The series ran for two seasons and had it's U.K. debut on the 16 July 1994.
