Knight Rider

"Knight Rider -a shadowy flight into the dangerous world of a man who does not exist. Michael Knight, a young loner on a crusade to champion the cause of the innocent, the helpless, the powerless, in a world of criminals who operate above the law."

A policeman named Michael Long was shot in the face by criminals he was investigating. He was rescued by Wilton Knight, who worked for the Foundation for Law and Government (F.L.A.G), who revived him and gave him a new face and identity. Michael Long was pronounced dead, and he is now known as Michael Knight. He now works at F.L.A.G. and has a new computerized car, unlike any other car, called the Knight Industries Two Thousand (K.I.T.T. for short). It is the fastest, safest, and strongest car in the world. Michael agrees to use K.I.T.T. to help the Foundation for Law and Government fight criminals who are 'beyond the reach of the law'.

ITV screened the series in 1983 and more recently showed seasons one to three during 1994-1996. Channel 5 was the last station to repeat the series. Channel 5 obtained both the normal hour-long episodes together with half-hour ones. These half-hour episodes were edited versions of the full episodes and were actually purchased in this format. Channel 5 did not edit these episodes themselves. Only the full episodes are listed below. For more details see the seperate entry in the Transmission guide.
